Private Voice Lessons

Jan's combination of classic and modern vocal techniques, breath management, resonance and Body Mapping is the foundation for a customized technique that creates immediate, long lasting and healthy results.  She has dedicated her teaching career to marrying the stability of traditional voice technique with the excitement of a musical theatre sound to create an effortless and healthy instrument.

Dr. Prokop works with her students to develop strategies to successfully negotiate their careers, schedules and lifestyles.  Her vocal exercises combined with mind/body works enable them to improve their vocal technique and release muscle tension so they can build and strengthen their instruments.  She is also helps artists avoid and recover from vocal fold injury.  

With enhanced knowledge of the voice, reliable vocal technique and balanced body, her students are free to explore their dramatic intentions to create honest, heartfelt performances.
